My friend who is on a lower end PC sent me this screenshot of his microprofiler. Based on the details, what is the main cause of the lag? Is it the rendering, physics, or the scripts?
Here’s a screenshot of a single frame my microprofiler results in your game, with some annotations. I’m playing at maximum quality:
Your friend’s screenshot is missing the yellow section and the green section (I suspect that the green section is missing because your friend doesn’t have a graphics card). Ask your friend to scroll down and look for the yellow section.
So is rendering the biggest factor in causing the lag? Btw, we’re looking at the battle royale gamemode. Not the normal gamemode.
I don’t know for sure (also I don’t know how to enter the BR mode in your game). What does your microprofiler output look like?
I can’t tell from my microprofile because I have a really good PC.
I have a good pc, too, but you can zoom it closer to the microprofiler output by scrolling up with your mouse (which is how I got the screenshot).
From the looks of it you’re right, rendering takes a large chunk out of your frame time.
The green bar on top (labeled Id_Opaque) to the best of my knowledge shows how it takes to render all the opaque parts on the scene.
