THE MAP
The important areas are:
The RGRM Bunker, it is on one side of the map.
The Raider camp, it is on the other side of the map.
The Slump Zone, it is on the RGRM side of the map.
The Deep Water Mining Station, it is on the raider side of the map.
The sinkhole, it is in the center of the map.
The dried river, it is on the raider side of the map next to a giant hole leading to sinkhole.
Arches, it is on the RGRM side of the map, under two giant rock arches.
The Flattop Hill, in the center of the map but off to the side.
The Raid System
Mimban uses a ticket based raid system. You must get 3500 tickets before the raid timer is up, or the team with the most tickets will win.
Tickets are earned in three methods:
1] Kills award 3 tickets to the team that made the kill.
2] Owning a temporary capture point. There are four of these, and they rotate every five minutes. They take 30 seconds to cap with one person, or 10 with three people. They give 1 ticket per second when fully capped.
3] Owning a permanent capture point. There are two of these, and they do not change. They take 2 minutes to cap, or 40 seconds with three people. They give 1 ticket per second when fully capped.
4] Capturing a permanent point from the enemy team awards 30 tickets.
5] Capturing a temporary capture point from the enemy team awards 15 tickets.
At the start of the raid, there is a one minute period to prepare before the raid system comes online. Once it does, stats are cleared automatically. Five minutes into the raid, the first random capture point will be enabled. Random capture points cannot be picked twice in a row, it will always change to another point.
SPECIAL MECHANICS
Force fields will last for 10 seconds when you spawn, but only three seconds if you equip a tool.
The atmosphere of Mimban will change on if you’re “inside” or “outside” - this system isn’t very specific but for the most part it tends to work.
The powered shovel can be used to dig up and place down terrain. It will beep at you if you’re in a place you cannot dig or place dirt. (Ie: Spawn areas are protected, can’t dig through lava, water, or basalt.)
SPECIAL WEAPONS
There are several special weapons at Mimban:
E-WEB
This is a two man heavy blaster cannon. It cannot move, it is incredibly tanky, and it has the highest damage of all the guns in the game. The catch is it takes two players to set up, and requires a small reactor to power it. This reactor controls how much damage per shot is dealt, and it can overheat when not carefully monitored. An alarm will sound when it begins to overheat - keep firing and it will blow up.
Additionally, the reactor is far weaker than the gun itself. Reactors can power guns that are up to 15 studs away, and up to three guns at a time per reactor…however, the more guns using the reactor beyond its cooling power will result in even faster heat generation.
POWER SHOVEL
A basic digging and placing tool. This dirt can then be placed to build anything from trenches to gigantic domes over entire areas of the map. (The latter requires a lot of man power, time, and coordination.) It cannot dig through water, lava, or basalt. It costs 4 dirt to place new dirt.
THERMAL GRENADE
A basic thrown grenade. Hit e to drop the grenade at your feet. They emit an EMP wave that will instantly destroy shield generators…including your own. They also do terrain damage, and send out simulated shrapnel damage on top of their explosive power. They can also be placed as a tripwire explosive trap. These can go off when shot, and do make glorious chain reactions. Use with caution. They won’t detonate on team members but they will still teamkill when they explode.
JETPACKS
Jetpacks allow you to fly and shoot at the same time. They have simple controls:
Double tap space to turn them on/off.
Alt to turn on or off.
W and S to go up and down.
A and D to strafe.
Hold shift to go even faster, but at a much higher fuel usage cost. It follows your mouse.
The transport jetpack has longer range, but is slower. The assault jetpack is faster, has a rocket, but less fuel and carrying capacity.
