hey, its been a while. got pretty busy but summers here and i have more time for this project. pretty excited to share what ive been up to.
NEW BIG STUFF
FINALLY finished the new downtown area. only one more section until the eastern peninsula is finished!!!
brand new massive artificial industrial island port/harbour area. felt like the current size of the port was too small given how this city is supposed to be one of the largest logistics hubs in the continent.
completely remastered the Omicron Islands. now nearly twice the size and resembles a much more realistic layout similar to the reclamation projects in Tokyo. will include huge financial districts, upper class housing, winding highway networks, and industrial areas.
NEW little STUFF
basically some little details i thought would be neat.
underground cooling systems that vent out through smokestacks as steam. since heat is actually a major problem in large cities (concrete reflects heat more than natural surfaces) these were designed to help cool the surface as well as underground areas without having to sacrifice too much space for greenery. absorbs heat from the surface and underground networks (which turn into steam) and is vented out.
similar situation here. main ventilation exit for the large underground networks in these artificial hills.
solar towers which can rotate to always face the sun maximizing efficiency. will have these scattered around
VTOL cargo aircraft landing pads. meant for short-medium distance hazardous/valuable deliveries. will have more of these around industrial areas and logistics hubs

pretty crazy that its already been a year since ive started this project. hopefully ive improved in building so HOPEFULLY better quality stuff. also expect progress to be a bit faster since its summer holidays.
