Mlinar - Interview Guide

• Introduction •

The interview guide contains the rules you’ll need to know and the questions you will be asking your interviewees as well as the interview procedure and tips so that you can successfully host the session and interview attending interviewees.

• Interview Rules •

[1] Grammar is required inside and outside interviews at all times. Failure to use grammar will result in you failing your interview.

[2] Respect all present staff and attending interviewees. Disrespect is not tolerated and will result in being kicked from the server.

[3] You must answer each question within 40 seconds after being asked the question. Exceeding this time limit results in failure for that question.

[4] Please remain seated while waiting for your interview. If you do not remain seated, you will be kicked from the server.

[5] Please try not to go AFK during the interview session as you may miss out on being interviewed if you are called upon to be interviewed while AFK.

• Interview Questions •

[2] What other companies have you worked for that were similar to Mlinar?

• Interview Procedure •

When introductions and rules have concluded, select two people at random to interview using the “view” or “find” commands. Choose to interview those who are sitting down and behaving over the ones causing disturbances. Teleport your interviewees to an empty room and have them sit in one of the two chairs at the desk and begin the interview. Use the “age” or “info” command to make sure your interviewees are over 30 days old. Also remember to test for safechat. Ask your interviewees if they have any questions before you begin, then proceed to ask the interview questions. Judge them relatively harshly on their response time and correct grammar usage, as we want fast and professional baristas. You should always correct them if they make a grammar mistake, for example missing a capital “I” or using the wrong form of “your”. This is to make sure they don’t make the mistake again, otherwise they are oblivious to the fact that they made a mistake. Also, judge them on how elaborate and thoughtful their answers are. If they pass, congratulate them and inform them of the handbook (especially the trainee guide) and the useful information that can be found there. Then send them to the pass room with the green baton afterward. If they fail, correct them on what they did wrong and inform them that they can try again at the next interview. Either immediately kick them from the server, or hit them with the red baton, wait a few seconds, and kick them.

• Interview Tips •

[1] Judge responses based on these factors: response time, grammar usage, and the relevance of the answer.

[2] Safe Chatters cannot pass.

[3] People can correct themselves if they make a grammar/spelling mistake and not be penalized for it. If they don’t correct themselves, then they are penalized. Generally, you want to fail them after two uncorrected mistakes.

[4] Look for a more elaborate vocabulary as well as concise and coherent sentences.

[5] Correct interviewees on their grammar mistakes if they make any so they don’t make any more!
