Mobile avatar editor only allows for 3 hats when you can use up to 10 on the website.

  1. Use the Roblox App on Mobile
  2. Head to the avatar section to edit your avatar
  3. Head to the accessories section and try to equip more than three head accessories.
  4. An error message pops up saying you can only wear up to three hats

Expected behavior

There should be a option or way to equip more than 3+ hats like you can on the avatar editor on the website. This makes it so that avatars are much more limited on mobile devices compared to users on the website. It is also annoying when trying to edit outfits that have more than 3 hats that were saved on pc.

on the website I can only equip 3 hats, so either the website broke for you, or this is a future update that allows more hats thats being rolled out?

That or my website is broken and I should be able to equip more than 3 hats.

There is a advanced option at the bottom of the avatar editor that allows you to manually input the id of items you own to equip 3+ accessories. I believe some extensions let you edit more than 3 within the avatar editor without having to use advanced options.

Thanks for flagging! Unfortunately this is the intended behavior, and we currently don’t have any plan to build something similar as the website’s advanced editor in our mobile editor. But we do understand how this would open up more possibilities in terms of avatar customization, so this is something we might explore in the future as we continue to iterate on our in-app avatar editor
