Mobile VR in Roblox

About two years ago, I was experimenting on making mirrors on Roblox with viewport frames. While I was making it, I wondered if it was possible to create two viewport frames on each half of my phone and display my Roblox game. The first version of this I made was pretty cool, but was really inefficient, because for some reason I repeatedly cloned the workspace’s parts into the viewport every 0.06 seconds. However, a few days ago, I decided to revamp the whole project, and I want some feedback on it so far!

NOTE: This is just an experiment I was making, and I’m not even sure if it’s possible for my VR method to be used in a real game.

In the video shown above, I was able to walk around by connecting my Nintendo Switch Controller to my phone with Bluetooth, and using the joysticks to move.

If you want to test it out yourself, here’s the link! - Gas Station - Roblox

wow it looks good the only problem is that how you will walk or do anything if it is inside the headset (those that are made for phones)

I’m thinking of creating walking without the controller by detecting head movement when you walk in the phone’s accelemator or gyroscope.

At first I thought this was about what happened to your game after connecting a Meta Quest 2 (assistant said it can work) to your phone but know I see that looks nice! Good work!

Game is private lol.

This looks really neat!! Would be cool for Controller Tracking in the future, (I made a headset-less VR Type game in GameBuilder Garage one time, so the Joy-Con’s support usage like that)

I’ll probably make it be you can connect another phone to use as a hand controller. The game is public now btw!
