Model grey after inserting it into studio

I have been facing a problem for many hours searching and search for the answer and need urgent help.

When I get finished with my model using Blender I colored it using the material properties but upon inserting the mesh into studio using fbx it’s grey. I’ve tried many things - bake, uv editing, vertex paint but those methods didn’t work. I do not want to take every piece of my mesh apart then color each piece one by one due to that being very unefficient.

Meshes only come in one color (I think). So upload it color wise. For example, the blade, handle (Yellow Part), handle (Red Part) then add the color and group it in studio.

Taking it apart and coloring it one by one is unefficent and will make the model uneven, I’m just looking for a way to insert my mesh with the color I have on it in blender.

How did you texture it? If you used materials, roblox currently doesn’t support materials. If you’re using an image texture and it didnt import with the object, you can try uploading it as a decal and applying it manually. If you want to skip image textures and use flat solid colors, you can look into vertex painting. Hope this helps!

I looked into vertex painting again, colored my mesh, and it’s still grey in studio.

@impreeminent make sure you’re exporting as .FBX if you’re using VertexPaint, as .Obj does not support it.

You can also UV unwrap your mesh and apply a texture the usual way, if that’s a preference. Do some research on the pros and cons of each - there’s plenty of info to read.

@AidanPlaysYT_Real please don’t suggest things like this except for very niche circumstances, since it’s inefficient and causes additional hardships - especially in terms of weapons since that would require additional unnecessary welds.
