Model is extremely not-shiny with surfaceappearance

This is a door hinge I modeled in blender, with it’s surfaceappearance set up correctly, environmental specular and diffuse are both at 1

I know the model is capable of having reflections because if I delete the surfaceappearance it looks like this

So I’m not sure why it completely dulls down once the surfaceappearance is added

Ok I managed to fix it by darkening the metalness and roughness maps?
