I learned a small portion of model creation and wanted to create maps with them, but I find it difficult to imagine how would they be to the player. Would it be better to model objects like furniture and decoration directly based on the average player character or to just scale them in Studio accordingly?

In blender, just know that 5 meters tall is the players character, and 4 meters is the characters width. That would help you. This is only for R6 though, just increate the height for R15.
If you need to, import the actual roblox character model/rig and make sure it’s around the same height+size. This can help make sure everything is to proper scale, and you can move it around to check.
