Hello, i am making this bug report for an issue that has been on roblox for almost two years.
Chat violations are able to stack on each other and duplicate themselves for content that was already moderated/removed.
You can reproduce this fairly easily
for exemple you say something that can be considered harrasment, someone reports you, you get a chat suspension, someone report these same messages again, then it will 99% of the time result in another suspension for these same messages even tho you already got punished for them.
this is a serious flaw in the moderation system that has caused a lot of unfair and long bans.
a three day violation should not be able to turn into a full 7 days account ban because someone mass reported messages that already got you banned.
this issue can also happen with other type of bans like voice chat.
Expected behavior
Chat bans/suspensions should not be able to stack on each other if you are already muted.
Already moderated chat messages should get removed instead of staying in the chat.
This is exactly what it feels like for me, thank goodness someone is now spreading more information about this. My account “wxInuts” was terminated for a minor chat violation for saying the word “blue”.. 10 minutes later i get a 30min chat suspended. I then waited it out.. i hop off of Roblox then i join a game with voice chat, i don’t say anything offensive, and i get voice chat suspended, an hour later i get hit with an enforcement ban, and 2 hardware bans (my phone & laptop). This is frustrating as my last temporary ban was in December of 2025, but in February 2026, i didn’t get no warnings, no temporary ban, just a quick termination for no reason given, or maybe the violation stacked over time for 2 months. I thought violations were reseted every 30 days, this issue needs to be resolved and fixed very soon, as many can get affected by this.
(i really hope a staff sees this very soon, who can help fix this bug, help those who lost their accounts.)
