If you’ve ever played Kerbal Space Program youl love this.
I spent yesterday and today making a little modular aircraft making system similar to what KSP uses.
-Click a part and drag it to its position and click.
-Must start with the “Front” part
-Press “m” while hovering over a part to mirror it to the other side.
-Click on a wing to change the dimensions of the wing.
Still kinda glitchy but I think il expand it alot more, its kinda cool I think
It’s a nice start, but it’s far from perfect in my opinion. I really like what you have so far, don’t get me wrong, but here’s some things I’d like to see improved (in no particular order):
[ul]
[li]Modifying wings that aren’t horizontal was laggy and glitchy for me. I’m guessing your triangle placement code is messing something up.[/li]
[li]I could not place anything on my wings. I was going to put my engines on the wings but couldn’t do that.[/li]
[li]Engines have a fixed size. Would be nice if you could modify their length and diameter (as well as the length of their attachment).[/li]
[li]I’d like the ability to pick up and move parts.[/li]
[li]I couldn’t figure out how to delete parts, so any time I made a mistake I had to remove the whole plane and start over.[/li]
[li]Resetting the plane left the wing modify arrows in place[/li]
[li]Would be nice if we could place wings at more angles, not only right angles.[/li]
[li]Pressing M on an engine would place the mirrored engine at a different height than the original. [/li]
[/ul]
Other than that, I want to fly my plane. I think a flight mode would be really cool. Great work so far, keep it up!
Volcano thanks for your through reply I appreciate it! I was going to follow through with almost everything you said already besides the engine sizing (Theres gonna be bigger/smaller/different types of engines.)
I made the mirroring work a bit better and now you can add radial parts onto wing surfaces, il try to fix that vertical wing modification, CFrames don’t like me apparently.
