Monetization on Restaurants

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
    I wish to achieve a stable stream of revenue from a restaurant group (>100k) without selling out, as in selling ranks, admin, and so forth that many larger groups appear to be doing. While I would like to achieve the same sums of money they reap in, are there any alternative ways to generate income that doesn’t put a negative spotlight on your game?
  2. What is the issue? Include enough details if possible!
    Selling out with ranks, rushed game passes, and other trinkets are something that usually are last resorts for groups that struggle to make income. I’m trying to address this issue by brainstorming some game passes and products, but few can come to mind.
  3. What solutions have you thought of so far?
    I’ve already been able to come up with a few ideas so far:
  • Fast Lane (:robux_light:100)
    Be permitted into a special queue line to have your party to have priority seating (like Disney’s FastPass).
  • Reserved Dining (:robux_light:250)
    Allows your party to sit at reserved tables which have a better view of on-site attractions.
  • Very Important Customer (:robux_light:800)
    Grants Fast Lane game pass as well as quick service with a personal waiter to ensure you are served in a moments time.
  • Request Song (:robux_light:5)
    A one-time consumable that lets a user select a song from a curated library for the whole server to hear.

I am going to be honest with you. I owned a small cafe for about 2 years, which is dead now. Unless you are prepared to spend upwards of 100k on advertising every month, it is extremely hard to profit off of new roleplay groups unless the idea has never been though of before, but it is still good.

To get players and revenue maybe make it like a game that attracts players. Like restaurant tycoon.

Sorry if I wasn’t giving enough detail, let me clarify. I am attempting to make a restaurant roleplay group, not a tycoon. My apologies in advance.

Out of your current gamepass ideas, I personally would only purchase the request song. This may just be me being stingy, but who knows. I wouldn’t personally spend 250 robux just to sit somewhere else. :man_shrugging:t4:

Anyway, to the point. Gaining robux for groups like such can at times be a hard task. Apart from rank sales, I have a few other ideas to increase your revenue income:

  • Potentially a skip training gamepass (not directly selling a rank, I guess?)
  • If staff can get promoted via points, maybe selling points (also not directly selling a rank?)
  • Increase the request song price to 10 robux
  • Instead of selling individual perks in different gamepasses, consider combining them into one gamepass which grants a title (potentially the title of Very Important Customer) with perks. This’d work by having the chance of more perks within 1 gamepass instead of many, potentially increasing demand and therefore revenue.
  • Maybe a gamepass that allows you to change your nametags colour, and maybe add a custom tag (eg. [CUSTOM NAME] username)

If none of the above ideas work for you, you may have to adapt to selling ranks, but keeping it below MR+. Considering the main reason people are against selling ranks is due to admin abuse or limiting their alliances, from experience, LR ranks are usually fine; don’t take my word for it though lol.
