As someone that does report things while in games, it is currently very difficult to get a decent screenshot of an avatar moving around constantly.
While the screenshot option is very helpful in most cases, its very difficult to time the screenshot where the player is facing the front with for example an inappropriate shirt. Normally players move around constantly making it very hard to grab a screenshot. and usually causes the screenshot to include their avatar sideways or completely outside of the view to make an efficient report
I feel like instead there should be a log on how the player spawns in the game wearing what ID of assets, so that if they quickly change them out on the website it can still be reported and display their avatar sort of like the website view of someones avatar on their profile sort of like this combined with the report page
I feel like if something were to be implemented to make it easier for people to make such reports, it would make reports be taken more seriously and more accurate; thus making the platform a slightly more safer place
They should also add an option to report inappropriate avatars outside experiences since currently there is no way to do that. There is also no way to report inappropriate usernames outside experiences since that option only exists there. The whole reporting menu outside experiences need a complete revamp, there are the same report menu options everywhere which doesn’t reflect every situation. We need a unique report menu options for different features. For example the report menu in the profile page should have options like reporting inappropriate avatars, reporting inappropriate usernames, inappropriate “abouts”, etc. While the report menu in the chat, should have options like reporting individual messages for different rule violations while also having options to report inappropriate usernames and avatars. While the report menu in experience pages should have a way to report inappropriate logos, thumbnails, experience names, experience descriptions, etc.
The report/trust and safety system already internally captures the HumanoidDescription of the player you’re reporting already ; however nothing is done with that data atm
