As a developer, it’s too difficult to close scripts I don’t need without also closing the scripts I do need. As an example, the most efficient way to do close scripts other than the one you have open is to right click on the script, click Close All Scripts, then reopen the tab.
Why not simplify this task by simply adding “Close Other Scripts” like your browser already has for tabs?
We can expand this further by adding other options like “Close Scripts To The Right”, “Close Scripts To The Left”, etc.
I feel like this is just overcomplicating things. Closing script tabs is a simple concept, with just an X button and a few side-options to specify what you want to close. It should only take a few more seconds to manually close the other tabs you have open, unless you have like 20 tabs open at once (which is a habit to avoid). I see no need for there to be more ways to close something, a blatantly simple system (for lack of better phrasing).
This isn’t a good argument. For example, there was a time when scripters couldn’t use Ctrl W to close out of the current script, and Ctrl Shift T also used to not work for bringing up your last closed script. I use these daily, it makes it “more complicated”, but it’s a good and productive addition.
