for about the last 2 yrs I’ve been just losing motivation to work on games for long periods of time and can’t seem to like any ideas I have for games.
I was wondering if anyone else has issues like this and how they overcame them.

Basically I’ll start working on a game and by like the second or third day I’ll be completely unmotivated to do anything for the game.
It happens to us all. I’ve got lots of abandoned projects that I thought weren’t really good enough to continue on for various reasons. Once you do find something you think is good enough, your motivation will be better, but remember to take a break from time to time or you will get brunt out by passion projects. I’ve done that more than once.
Seems you have whats called is an artistic block.
It happens to the best of us. What I can say is take a break from development and start playing some games of your type you found online, take inspiration from those, maybe then, you have all interest.
All I can say is get self control, with that is better attitude towards development and work.
same thing. 2 years without motivation
call me crazy but a week ago i finished a school that teach you how to NOT lose motivation and i think it worked?
the first thing i noticed is how in my old games my scripts there were giant blocks of god knows and scattered everywhere
the second thing is: try to put yourself small objectives such as “Finish to make a sword that does this and that”, and then move to the next objective
making games is hard, and almost impossible for a single dev. i reccomend to not overwork.
like me, i work in the morning, in the afternoon i do my stuff ( such as playing or study etc), and in the evening i do whatever my mind says
(just to let you know, if you make games bored, then dont do it, or if you encounter alot of troubles or missing knowledge of code / animator, then stop the work and learn it, without rushing)
There is strategy, instead of games create a system, and then expand it to become a game, also play other games and see what you like, go outside and hang out with friends
