I think I found the issue and we’re trying to get it in before code cutoff tomorrow morning so it makes it in the next release.
Now they work weirdly in Studio as well, though selecting any part of the character causes it to update to proper position (only once). Selecting a RigidConstraint in Explorer just makes Studio crash.

The code affects all things. Both Client & Studio, as well as all platforms. The reason why this isn’t seen on mobile yet, is because that version generally lags 1 week behind.
When is the next version release that will have this fix? This is game breaking and waiting until the next official release seems like a seriously long time to allow for game breaking, unannounced behaviour changes to continue to exist. I think this should be expedited and published right away.

What is the game clients patch release cadence? Shall we expect it before the weekend or are we going into it broken with impact to our player counts and bottom-line?
Also is there any insight that can be shared on how the bug occurs that could benefit from some more immediate work-around in our code? Like does the naming or grouping of weld or motor6d joints under a part somehow influence the behavior?
The welds in my game are no longer working properly, as they should.
The cubes of the worm are connected by Weld and I animate the C0 of the welds each heartbeat to animate the worm. However, since just recently, the updates of the welds aren’t reflecting on the cubes. But they are being reflected on the SurfaceGuis of the cubes as you can see they’re actually moving as if the cube was in that place.

I believe there has recently been an update by Roblox to improve weld updates to make them more performant but this is actually game breaking!
Please fix this asap.
When will this patch be live? I feel this issue is not being taken seriously at this rate. User experience is suffering greatly and users pin blame on us developers when big issues go unfixed like this. Please, fix this right away.
I just tested with Academy-Wild-Horse-Islands and it seems to be fine now?

I confirm the bug is fixed. Joints are working as intended.
Just tested on my mech place.
It’s still happening.
my animations are playing fine, other players are not, despite the fact i’m playing them from my client, and the keyframes are being reached.
If any staff want a repo place please reply and I’ll send it over. all you have to do is a 2 player test
