Mouse stutter on pan

When you pan the viewport in Studio, the mouse stutters around as you can see in the video below. When not recording, sometimes it will cause frames to drop (but not report it on the FPS meter) when moving the camera around (even in as simple as an empty baseplate).

I’m using a Magic Mouse 2 on macOS 10.13.1, I haven’t tested this out using any other mouses (mostly because I don’t have any other ones to test) but it does the same using my older MacBook Pro’s built-in trackpad on the same version of macOS.

I’ve had this issue previously on my iMac and Macbook Pro, before I upgraded to a windows. However, I don’t know if it still happens to me, but I can say that it has happened before.

I was using a Microsoft Mouse at the time. I don’t think it’s the mouse issue though.

Yeah I have had this issue for years, but only recently has the actual camera panning become choppy in some circumstances.

The other day I swapped my computer’s mouse with a new one. When I opened studio, I noticed considerable amounts of stuttering and FPS drops whenever I move the pointer or pan the camera. This happens in all 3 connection modes the mouse has, including direct bluetooth connection, USB wired, and wireless to a USB dongle. This bug only happens in studio.

When I use the old, wired-only mouse, I notice some jittering with my pointer but I do not have any lag or FPS drops in studio itself. I can’t remember if this happened before I began using the new mouse.

I have tried reinstalling drivers for my graphics card and both mice, restarting my computer, and reinstalling studio.

New mouse, with most lag: Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless. Clip of panning using mouse, with microprofiler.

Old mouse, with less lag. Zeus E2.

Edit: Forgot I submitted this to post approval. A few days ago, I figured out that lowering the polling rate in the mouse settings (In my case, by accessing settings in the Corsair iCUE app) reduced the issue. I’m still not sure if a high polling rate is supposed to cause that level of stuttering and lag on Roblox, though.
