(MOVED, CLOSED) A sphere network-owned by a mobile device causes weird physics behaviour

Moved to here: Ball-shaped parts have jittery physics on mobile devices - Development Discussion - Developer Forum | Roblox

couldnt this be possibly due to the max frame limit or the max hz on a mobile device?

I don’t think that is the case. The mobile player gets pushed around 1 stud to the left, which is way too much for FPS issues. Also, my laptop, which has the same FPS, does not have the issue.

Edit: You can easily check the video to see that the shaking is a lot.

could i ask what laptop and mobile device you have so i can look more into it :+1:

Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3
Mobile Device: Nothing Phone 2a

My mobile device isn’t the only device the issue happens in. This bug is a narrowed down bug of another project, which is getting tested by some people. The mobile players in this tester group also had this issue (with varying mobile devices). I could ask them which devices they had the issue on.

hmm that is weird, the only reason i was thinking that the device may be the issue is that the refresh rate on the device can affect the physics which could be the reason that bug happens in the first place. Alot of mobile devices have a adaptive refresh rate but the laptop is at a consistant 120hz. I think you may be right to it being an engine bug as i dont think i have seen anything like this before.
