MOVED: Feedback on my 5th GFX

What do you want to achieve?

I want to achieve a professional-looking GFX like this

What is the issue?

The GFX looks like it’s just come out of Blender 2.8.1 Eevee render wich is true, but I added a sky in Pixlr Editor and added some overlays and logo using Photopea (On new one).

What solutions have you tried so far?

I have added some overlays using Photopea (On new one).
I have added a logo using Photopea (On new one).
I have added Mountains using Photopea (On new one).

The background needs a lot more. The character could do with some shading and highlighting and the pose needs a lot of work too. Also, you could add a lot of effects when editing the image, such as light leaks. I recommend you use photopea as a free online photo editing tool.

I agree with @TopSecretSpy1177 , the background needs more detail.

  • Add some mountains or buildings behind the trees to make it seem less flat.

  • Use or make better looking trees and place them in different places not just in a straight line ( some closer so further away from the player.)

  • Also play with the lighting a bit to make the character stand out more and make the whole thing less dull. The player also looks flat to me right now too.

It’s a good start and good luck with your future GFX.

You should get into Blender in order to create your own 3D environments, lighting and in order to easily bend limbs. It might seem a bit hard at first but trust me, once you follow a few tutorials you’ll be able to do it for yourself!

There are many things you can add through blender. Much like small to big details to the background. I find that hiding the horizon [between the grass and the skybox] with something would make it better. Now it just looks like endless terrain, with no detail. You’re getting somewhere though. :+1:
