I need to make an illusion of background parts moving forward(example)
I have no idea how to make a fake movement illusion.
Someone would say, cloning the baseplate a few times then changing the transparency of the baseplates one by one would work. But it looks… bad. Beam would be a good idea too if the texture could have non repeatable pattern.
Any ideas how to do that?

You could make the baseplate move, or add parts that move so it looks like you are moving while you really aren’t. Depending on what you can do thats what i think at least.
as you know, the baseplate isn’t infinite. thats the problem
thats what i mean, you make a baseplate that doesnt move, the vehicle or what is moving in a straight position, and some parts move on your surround so it looks like it is moving while it isnt.
I like that! I’m no expert but if I was to attempt something like that I’d probably spawn slightly randomized tiles in the distance that I then moved under the car to give the illusion of movement. All done locally of course for smoothness. It doesn’t matter if different players see different tiles.
I found the ground move script in the example game. If any of you need something like this, get the copy of the game.
