Moving mouse with dragger equipped causes frequent lag spikes

I recently started working on a project with a very large map, and this morning I noticed that when I equip any of the draggers, moving the mouse over different parts causes frequent frame drop. The lag disappears when I unequip it and goes back to being pinned at 60 FPS.

I just discovered the lag occurs when I hover over or select a single model in workspace named “Other” which contains a ton of random greebles. Half of the map is in this folder, which means it’s drawing an extremely complex outline. I’m going to turn Other into a folder and that should solve my issue. It would be great if we could work with models of that complexity without performance issues but I understand if this is labeled NAB. :stuck_out_tongue:

Does this happen if you have the highlight mode set to bounding boxes instead of outlines?

That resolves the lag completely. I had no idea I could change this. Thank you!

Good to hear! There’s also some improvements in the pipeline that should help you out here in the future so you won’t have to stay on bounding boxes. Turns out this is only focused on in-game highlights, we’re still trying to crack the problem of selection highlights.
