MPB2 testing: bandwidth sink?

Every time I try to play MPB2, I get 0.0/2 network recieve, upwards of 50 ms (94 is the highest I saw), and even youtube drops to a lower quality.

IIRC when it was first released it had the same problem. Might be related to their core game.

I’ve seen individual players not being able to establish a connection with the game, but I dont think a repro exists if you have really good network plan and throughput to begin with.

I’d need as much info as I can because I dont even know where to start fixing this.

The 10 people playing the game must have business-grade internet then, because this is the only game I have this kind of problem with.

Shift+F3 will give you a more detailed overview of what’s happening on the network.

FWIW, this belongs in development discussion until yall isolate it to an actual issue with the client

So, I managed to get in without any issues, but there was FMOD error 51, which means no sounds play. The bug may have something to do with downloading a lot of audio assets?

EDIT: maybe not. Got the 51 error, still couldn’t play the game. Here’s the F3 panel:

the server isn’t sending any data, so probably a server issue. It might be a memory leak if this happens consistently.

I mean, that or your ISP is playing mind games with you.

well, they could, but damn it would have to be the most minute mind game ever, to be able to only do this for a single roblox place.
