MULTIGAME Loading Screen

This is the loading screen for my game I’ve been working on in the past few weeks, which features a cool little audio visualizer effect for the current song playing.

It’s not anything cool or special but I had fun making this. If this looks familiar, this loading screen was inspired by the one featured in The Mad Murderer 2 created by @loleris. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated!

note: the video may also showcase my cool little custom chat system with built in auto-complete, but that will be covered another time

Forgot to mention this in the main post but the loading screen system also allows you to play your own music locally if you add a .mp3 file into your content folder.

However, I’m not really sure if this is allowed? Well atleast I think so. But if it is, I’ll keep it in as a little easter egg.

a GT 710 for 300 dollars?? you got scammed to a crisp bruh

I would make the meter more sensitive or have all the letters face the player the entire time.

And yes, you got scammed.

I would but just like any other audio visualizer, the last few bars never really spike up? If that makes sense.

I kinda like the random rotation for the letters but maybe I should reduce it a bit while also making it face towards the camera :+1:

It’s just not practical in this application. I had a hard time reading the text at certain angles.

You can try having the audio visualizer move up and down across the entire text instead.

:frowning:

Actually I made two renditions of the visualizer. This is the first version which reacts to the volume instead:

bro it costs 30 dollars ykno?

u could buy an rx 6600.

what CPU u got? an intel pentium??

I’m not a big fan of that one either. I would suggest making it a lot more sensitive so the letters are filled most of the time.

Of course, I have a power factor set in place so I’ll have to tweak it a bit to match up properly. But if you had to choose between both visualizers, which one would look better?

I would choose the second more wavy one.

I do have another idea though to keep both visualizers in the game. The problem is the fact that its harder to read. So the solution isn’t to change the visualizer, it’s just to make the letters more visible.

With that in mind, I can probably just reduce the transparency of the black overlay and just make it blend in with the rainbow gradient in the background, although I’ll have to check next week to see if this idea works.

This loading screen looks VERY GOOD AND COOL! The audio visualizer is awesome! How long did it take to create? I rate it 10/10!

Thank you for the positive words!
I believe this only took 1-3 days to make? Most of that was spent thinking of ideas for it.

weird hack
