My 3rd Ever Blender Render

I tried adding a backround. It turned out pretty good. Any feedback to improve?

(sorry for low quality)

I recommend to improve lighting by adding a light outside the window, and have a secondary light like a lamp near the couch illuminating the other side of you character, as well as some fill light to not make the scene too dark.

I tried adding some lighting to it. I am going to keep working on it!

the picture frame on the shelf looks off since its so bright and everything else is gray, i would change some different coloring on the plants wall etc greens, light but bright colors

its mostly on the left side the right side looks awesome i think its mainly the big plant tree thing in the corner

A huge improvement from your previous GFX. It’s the best one you made by far! I can tell you have been studying because your skill has increased by a lot. The colors are good too, and the background you chose makes this look like a showcase home!
But there are some issues.

  • Fix the texture of the plant! The pot doesn’t even have color and the plant itself isn’t green.

  • I’d recommend adding shadows to the shelf. Currently they look like images plastered onto the wall with no real depth. Actually, all your wall items don’t have shadow. It’d make it a good deal more real.

I’m pretty sure I can see out this window. An HDRI would be great to see. The lighting becomes natural and it’s easy too! If you pick the right HDRI, it’d be a nice splash of color to your scene.

Ever since I saw your first GFX, I thought you’d stay at the same skill level like many other people. Hopefully these tips elevate you to a further level! Happy holidays, and I wish to see even more improvement on rigging, materials, lighting, and much more!

I think the character is a little too small.
His legs shouldn’t be the same height as the lower part of the couch:

Other than that, it’s not that bad

From the standpoint of a non-GFX artist, the lighting looks decent. I like that you’ve got it in front of and behind the character; it solidifies his place in the scene.

My main issue is that the camera positioning is rather uninteresting and doesn’t seem to highlight any particular subject. Try zooming in slightly on the character and turning the camera sideways to face the light source a bit more. The angle doesn’t have to be drastic; even a small tweak will give the GFX some depth.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve watching many tutorials and reading about blender. My goal for 2022 is to be a master GFX artist. I’ll definitely try adding HDRI to it. Happy Holidays! :happy3:

nicely done, posing isn’t great though and your light sources dont give off any light, lighting is very bland, and the cloth clips through the floor, and it is very unrealistic. also my guy has a sword and wings bruh and rug positioning is kinda awkward

The roof does not have material or design, I’m suprized nobody has noticed that.

Honestly could be a blank ceiling or a popcorn ceiling but I agree with you. Needs some coloring/texture to spice it up!
