Maybe it could be rounded out also are there click effects when you click on it and when the UI comes up?
Oof, srry, I meant to remove the tile pattern from maybe the black strip so it would be plain and contrast with the other part to give it a 3D like effect, or you could do it the other way around. Just an opinion though.
I love this version! The way the categories are layed out is very appealing.
A few more suggestions:
- Maybe replace ‘options’ with an icon at the bottom of the sidebar? I feel like it’s a misfit among the categories.
- Make it so, when you hover over the categories that they pop out to emphasise an interaction.
- The ‘Admin’ title sits quite lonely at the top there in contrast to the appeal of the categories beneath it. Perhaps give it a bit more character?
