Woke up today to find multiple of my custom made clothing items being taken down for “intellectual property violation”. What am I supposed to do in this situation do I just counter the claim? What am I even supposed to provide in the counter claim? I’m also worried about doxxing myself cuz apparently they give the false DMCA’er all of your info and my brothers account already got hacked in a similar way I feel like I’m just being targetted at this point so they can get access to my account.

It’s a custom version I made of the shedletsky evanescence design I completely remade it in photoshop by myself and uploaded several different color variants of it, the red ones got taken down and I think a set of the black and white ones got taken down. I still have all the original clothing template files I even put my username and my avatar in the clothing template files and wrote please don’t steal it, still have all the original photoshop files as well.
Did you hand-draw the texture on the shirt?

It might be autoflagged because “Evanescence” is the name of a band. I would name it something else.

Thing is there’s hundreds of unmodified versions of evanescence clothing on the catalog so if anything those should’ve gotten taken down first, I feel like somebody reuploaded my clothing and now their trying to get mine taken down even though I made the original

You received a warning, not a DMCA takedown request. Another developer trying to take down your work wouldn’t be presented as a warning. The algorithm isn’t perfect and often targets new uploads of copyright infringed material opposed to old assets. If you upload assets that belong to another IP holder (even simply the name of a brand, band, celebrity, company, etc.), you must expect a warning at some point in time.

So I won’t get permabanned after receiving 3 warnings like you would with a DMCA takedown right? Still these are my clothes I created and designed that I uploaded over 2 years ago and now somebody is trying to claim they own it which I don’t understand, I’m just gonna have to take the risk doxxing myself so I can send a counter-notice cuz this is completely unfair, I don’t even care if other people are profiting off my work but for them to come after me when I created it? That’s some straight bull
Another Roblox player isn’t coming after you, it’s likely the copyright agent for Evanescence. You can’t use the band’s name or content in your assets. It’s not personal, the action was done automatically by a bot.

My account won’t get banned over this right? I’m still worried about if the 3 strike system applies here or if that’s only for DMCA’s but I didn’t get a 3 day ban yet like it said I would. As long as I remove any mention of evanescence from the titles and descriptions I should be good to reupload my clothing then right?
