My computer keeps shutting down when playing ROBLOX

  1. What do you want to achieve? I want to be be able to play a roblox game again without my computer shutting itself down.

  2. What is the issue? My computer, without warning nor prompt, completely shuts itself off whenever playing a ROBLOX game. There is no bluescreen, it just completely shuts down my computer. My specs are pretty good with a 2070 super, and a Ryzen 5 3600x as a CPU. This has been happening since ~1 week ago, and my computer runs fine on all other games and other situations.

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? I’ve checked for all possible hardware issues, such including power supply, HDD and SSD, GPU and CPU, and temperature-related issues. I’ve tried looking for solutions on Youtube, the DevForum; and basically any other social media platform I could look at. I’ve even went as far to factory reset my computer to get rid of any potential threats, viruses, or space-consuming installations which could’ve affected the performance. I’ve also played around with power settings, and my GPU settings to make sure I am not over, nor underclocking it; and I am also giving my PC enough power to run ROBLOX (which really shouldn’t be a lot.)

If you have anyway as to help me out, please let me know and we’ll start chatting :+1:

Roblox has been very laggy for me for the past week but it has not crashed my computer without warning. I also have good specs.

So temperatures are ok? Is this happens with other games?

Yes… my computer just shuts itself down. Right now, I’ve found a temporary fix related to DCOM errors on my computer; but normally, I shouldn’t have to make drastic changes just to accommodate the same experience for no reason. But, I have no idea whether this fix is permanent or not, I will keep you posted

use GPU-Z, CPU temp and check temperatures while you are playing

Yeah, it seemed to be a very specific problem… but I am not sure as to whether it is a temporary or permanent fix. But, temperatures and voltages (I was using HWMonitor) seemed to be fine.

When it happens, try rebooting, and uninstalling the Roblox version, then let it reinstall again. This has worked a few times.
