Nearly every time I re-open studio, my docked windows will be in an entirely different position. Random widgets will start to pop in and be docked in the wrong position.
Just now studio reconnected after waking up my computer and this is my studio layout:
I have never opened Assistant in my life, drafts will occasionally be docked on the right side. For reference, this is how I have to reconfigure my layout every time this happens:
Docking needs a complete overhaul again, ever since the last update it’s been horrible for me as well.
For instance I’ve always edited code in the main window, never anywhere else, and now anytime I have Asset Manager open on the side, Roblox Studio thinks the logical conclusion to jump to is that I want to edit my scripts inside Asset Manager.
Since the new Studio layout was released into beta, docking in the old layout has gotten worse. Every time I open studio I have to move the drafts widget, and every time I start a multi-client test, I get a bunch of random plugin windows open in the wrong place.
Experiencing this issue as well. The same plugins open up when I launch experiences, and my layouts seem to never save unless they choose to do so after extended sessions.
Even when they released the new docker beta earlier this year it still. doesn’t. work. Very frustrating.
Also, I want to be specific here - are you saying it never 100% saves? Or it frequently shows up blank/bad configuration? Like any change you make after closing studio and reopening will never be reflected?
Upon checking those configurations they have been enabled. Drafts always shows up in the incorrect docking position and has to be corrected in every new instance.
Can confirm with Usering that my drafts window is always fixed to one position and will never save even when I dock it to where I want it to be. I haven’t seen it happen to other windows, which do actually save when I drag them somewhere else.
