So if I add 20 verts and 5 faces to a cube and export it to roblox am I a modeller? No.

Just because you can make and export models doesn’t make you a modeller, I would consider a modeller someone who is proficient and skilled at modelling, to a degree where their models to resemble what they’re trying to create well.

Can’t blame you. The topology on my first model was also super bad like omg WHO MADE THEM MODELS!? A 1 YEAR OLD? (talking about my models not yours)

I would use more references. You say you’re going for a TV? Couple things:

  1. 99% of TVs do not have the beveled edges. I know it may seem tempting to add the detail there but honestly, what TVs are you watching that have round edges?

  2. Shorten the stand shaft, and widen the base, or add multiple supports. I say this because TVs aren’t typically raised off a surface like monitors are. The stand is usually fairly short, barely taking it off the surface. Plus you have to think about physics here, how is such a small stand keeping this TV standing straight up? Widening the base allows it to distribute the weight and be more stable. I don’t think a TV like you modeled would be able to stand up on a surface anyways.

Just take more time to think about your model, and use references. Find images of TV mounts, screens, where the buttons are located, cables, that sort of thing.

doesn’t look like a pc, but it does look like a monitor. to be honest tv’s are just big monitors though

It doesn’t mean that I am a pro modeller, I have said that i am still a beginner. Either way, months have passed and I would say I am a professional modeller at this point.
