Hi everyone! I’m excited to share my very first game created on Roblox. I’m a big fan of “Find the” games, so I decided to create one myself, but with a twist of added competitiveness and difficulty.
I would really appreciate it if you could give it a try and play it. I’m hoping to receive your support to help it grow, and I’d love to hear any of your suggestions or feedback.
Have fun and thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
you run around and collect stuff, got bored 2 minutes in. Add a feature that whenever you reach a certain treasure treshhold your character starts looking more and more like a pirate. For example if you get 5 treasures you get a wooden leg, when you get 10 treasures you get a pirate eye patch, stuff like that
Hi, thanks for your advice! ^^
The game is a classic “Find the”, so I understand that if a player doesn’t like the genre, he/she could probably get bored after a short time.
Do you think that adding a simple visual effect could change this thing? Following your suggestion the gameplay would remain totally unchanged, only a small “graphic aspect” would be added.
In my opinion, the gameplay is a little bit repetitive. Maybe hosting events giving people limited time cosmetics/accessories/gears could make the game a little more interesting as new content will be published!
Sorry for the late reply however the loading screen seems to be bugged on mobile, and sometimes on PC. I’ve encountered a few times that the loader goes from 0%t o 100% in a matter of seconds rather than pushing towards 100% in a stable pace. Hope this helps!
Thank you very much for the support you are giving me. I appreciate the report, but unfortunately, that is not a programming issue; it is simply an “effect” due to the connection and the game servers. Sometimes it can happen that items are received by the player very quickly (so the loading reaches 100% in fractions of a second), while other times it may take much longer (so the loading will take much longer).
I know it’s your first game, so it wont be perfect, but here’s my honest feedback:
The 1st thing i see is an AI generated icon and thumbnail, so if i would see the game on my home page, i wouldnt click it.
Then when i join i see a not-so promising loading screen that is gray and has some random text on it (idk if its a bug or not)
Then the gameplay is a bit repetetive and isnt really rewarding enough for players to play your game for more than 2 minutes.
There’s no way to somehow do something with those treasures, they are just there.
The lighting in this game can be improved alot.
I don’t really have anything more to say, the game doesnt really have much to offer, so i cant really give you a detailed feedback, wish you well on your game development journey.
it’s your fist game didn’t want to go too crazy with suggestions, i worked on a ‘find the’ type of game as commission and in his game all the things you had to find were different, had special skins, effects and sound effects when you picked them up, so finding those things was more engaging you also gained a small aura that would expand and become cooler the more things you collect
The loading screen issue is that some UI images load slower, so sometimes they are shown after the text.
Anyway, out of all the suggestions you gave me I would like to ask you a question about this:
Do you have any suggestions on how to improve the light? As far as I know the light is managed entirely by Roblox. During development I made adjustments to intensity, color etc., but I didn’t know it was possible to intervene to make more improvements like you told me.
