Hello! This is my first high-res texture build I’ve done. I decided to mess around with textures today and I got this as the result. I think it looks good so far but I’m far from done. Thoughts?
Note: I’ve been getting a lot of replies telling me to use textures instead of decals, but I can promise you I’m using textures instead of decals. I agree they look stretched and I’m working on the problem.
the build is outstanding! not only the building shape look great but also the texture of the building as well looks great. the window of the building is really well made in my opinion. you also can add some ceiling light outside of the window to make look the build much better.
you also can put some tiny in a pot outside of the window as well ask a decoration. if you want to decorate it ok for me because it is not my build and you add something or not.
and also if you did more things in this picture, can I go check it out on a game by myself because your build it looks cool for me so… if you finish it you can sent me the game link that all for now and I will see you in the next reply…

the game is really nice and also the grass color is really beautiful and the sun needs more work…
you also can add a sunray and also color correction the lightning section and the shadow is really good. the build also looks realistic when you turn manual to five-point.

It might just be me but some textures seem awfully stretched, you can probably fix this by replacing the decals with textures instead (textures and decals are different, textures repeat, decals stretch).
Looks awesome, you did a great job but there’s some problems in my opinion:
The lighting is obviously way too bright, a dull (in a good way) concrete building and a bright summer lighting doesn’t really fit together. A rainy gloomy day would really blend in with the building.
Improve the textures, the textures right now are noticeably repeated and blurry instead of being smooth, seamless, and unrecognizable from the rest of the building. Try searching for a seamless textures, then instead of using decals use ‘textures’ to avoid stretched textures since ‘textures’ would repeat the textures instead of just being stretched and losing quality the bigger it gets.
Add more details, the amount of details for now are great if it’s from 1 out of 10+ more buildings, use references if you don’t know where to add more details to the building.
Thanks for your input! Like I mentioned to 3rdhoan123, I did use textures, instead of decals. I agree they look stretched and I’m working on the problem.
