My first low poly tree!

Hey guys so I have just started with blender and decided to make a tree! I would love some feedback on how I could improve my skills!

I made the other one pink just to see how it looked.

For your first low poly tree, this is outstanding. Just one problem.

When you look at the tree, it looks like it’s bending down, reminding me of legs. Maybe add some branches or make the tree less bent. Overall, this is brilliant. :slightly_smiling_face:

Could you perhaps upload your images to the thread directly you can do this by hovering to the upper left and click “choose file”. Instead of letting users have to open a website in order to view what you’ve created or made?

Whiles it’s a good model for a user just starting off you could try creating variety of leafs so it doesn’t look identical the tree could feature more branches to enhance the quality of design a bit. The leaves could use more work as it seems to repetitive, try making the leaves have a more unique shape.

You can even add a small addition feature vines wrapped around the trunk down to the base just to give it more of a proper look whatever suits your liking:

Thanks for the feedback I will try that!

Thank you! And I will make the tree less bent.

Very nice tree overall, I’m impressed it was your first time making one!

As your first low poly tree, I believe it looks brilliant as it’s a good model for someone who’s starting off.

As for some feed-back i would say your leaves need a bit of work and give it more shape so they don’t look identical as well as repetitive.

Overall the tree looks well made for your first tree but the leaves could use some more work because it just looks like there is barely any leaves on it so I suggest making the leaves more bigger and make them different from one another by rotating some and make some bigger because not all leaves are the same.

Keep at it and you’ll become even better at it.

It is good! But how do you make low-poly things? Do you build them part by part in roblox studio, or import meshes?

I made the the tree in blender.

Oh, alright. I never made a mesh in blender, or anything other than roblox studio. Is it sort of easy? I am a beginner.

Blender is pretty confusing just to work on if you’ve never been on it before. But it definitely gets easier the more you use it and get used to it. Just search up some tutorials on YouTube to help you start out.

Fit’s pretty well in having a low-polygon count! Cool and amazing. :sunglasses:

If it’s your first try we can expect some problems but ill ignore them and give you some advice about how can you be better!

You may make the leaves with fewer parts, that will make the game less laggy and make the tree look better
And you can try new types with the trunk of the tree

I hope this will help you!

looks awesome! Just wondering did you use skin modifier for the branches? If not, that’s a good helpful tool you can use. For the leaves, it’s not bad for the first time, sometimes you can also use decimate modifier on spheres, or use ico spheres and scale! Good job though!
