I am working on this game called “Beyond Project” where you can walk through certain walls using a “Phasing Module”. I finished the 3 first stages and I decided to stop designing levels for now and instead focus on general mechanics of the game that could be improved upon and bug fixing.
There is also a Discord server for bug reports and in-depth feedback (if you don’t want to do it here).
I immediately saw it was Portal 2 inspired. Good job! The elevator model could be improved, though. Also, you should add an option to enable/disable the phasing thing, because cooldowns with an uncontrolled amount of phasing is not really appealing. Dashing could add an animation too, and some camera effects such as the FOV.
Thank you very much for the feedback! However I do not think i will add an option to disable phasing as it’s one of the core mechanics of the game. It is required for many parts of the game, altough I do think I should emphasize on it.
Also, could you explain what “cooldowns with an uncontrolled amount of phasing” means?
Oh, alright, so basically you can choose whenever you want to stop phasing. Alright, I will add that on my checklist :o
I should really remake the teleporter model, I assume it’s only a placeholder for now (and building isn’t the thing I’m the best at) but I will try my best.
No I mean it’s canonically NOT an elevator lol. I think I can add some sort of disappearing effect, and yes the waiting screen is timed and making it shorter could help.
