My game Repairing Simulator is not getting any activity, any suggestions?

Hello!

So I ran into the problem that my game (Repairing Simulator) doesn’t get any active. I tried many ways to make players notice it:

  • Social Media
  • Roblox Sponsoring (5k+)
  • Messaging Youtubers to play my game
  • Badges (Not sure if I can count it as a way to advertise)

But nothing seems to work at all. My game only gets around <10 visits per day. This is why I want to ask you: what’s wrong with my game? Maybe it has something that makes people leave and I can’t see it (most of the players say my game is fun). Maybe I just should sponsor my game with a higher amount of robux? (I can, but don’t want to waste them and in return get nothing). Or I just need to accept the fact that life is tough?

Respect any feedback!

Honestly, there are so many simulators games out there, that a lot of them get “left behind”. I’d recommend you to add unique features, make the game very appealing, and most importantly, the key to making a “successful simulator”, is to make it very grindy, this is so the players get to spend more time playing the game (yes, this is a OVERRATED strategy).

From what I have seen in the game, since it’s a cartoon type game, mostly, this game is supposed to be played by younger players. In some places, the UI is a bit low quality and I can count pixels. Better cartoony lighting would be better with an extended map. Lobby itself looks boring and gray. Another thing is that the game is hard to play, at first it took me more than (5?) minutes to understand what I must do. Just because I am here to help, I wouldn’t spend 5 minutes trying to figure out what I have to do to play the game correctly. To make people play your game, the game must somehow interact with a player. Analogously, more staying in the game encourages other potential visitors to visit as well your game, so instead of having 2 visits at once because after 1 minute people will leave, you will have more than 100 with average of 10 minutes gameplay or even more. Thumbnails aren’t attractive. Another thing is that you have created a simulator game in the wrong era of roblox. This isn’t 2017 where you could have many simulators on any certain topic, e.g today’s simulators are more creative, in 2017 you had “anything simulator”. Your advertising method wasn’t maybe good enough? If you have spent 5k robux at once, then it is a total fail. I would suggest you to spend 2k robux every weekend, because during those days roblox has the most players. I hope this will help you.

Did you skip the tutorial? (It pops up when you join the game)

What are your advertising stats like? How much CTR etc?

The stats:

Those stats don’t seem to bad actually. Maybe add a mechanic to have more returning players? Low player rates could have to do with the fact that players only play your game once. Try to add stuff like daily rewards.

My game has “Task Machine” that gives quests every 6 hours (Alternative to daily rewards)

Hmm. How long do players usually stay in game?

Around 5-15 minutes (30 letters)

Hello there!

I played it for about 20 minutes to understand the mechanics.

It’s a very well-made simulator that should have 2000+ players daily, but there is some stuff I recommend you to add/change.

  1. The intro of the game tells you if the assets have loaded for you, but when it says “Loaded” it didn’t actually load completely. (I removed textures)

  2. The main tasks of the game don’t really make sense, for example;
You have telephones, toasters, and ovens on the streets, it would be much better if you’re repairing street lights, fixing cars, cleaning rubbish.

  3. The shops/stores should have barriers to indicate where you should step that opens the UI like the quests/tasks.

Its well made but the gameplay is kinda boring that may be part of the problem

I didn’t take much time to understand but try to use ads not sponsor. Also don’t spend a lot of robux at once, try to divide it to parts like I mean,

day1: spend 1000 robux
day2: spend another 1000 robux
day3: spend another 1000 robux

By this you will get more visits hopefully

Also try to add sound effects because the game is kinda deafening

Actually, the point of the intro is to wait before the player gets his stuff (So he won’t see himself without backpack, hammer, pets and etc.)

Will note it

Other time I heard that I should remove the shops’ barries (The shops were having barries), but guess you’re right

Glad I could help, also maybe if you want I could help you with testing and other stuff :+1:

I was testing an ad and a sponsor before it and the results were the same

Maybe, but it already has around 7

Didn’t quite understand what you mean by that

Haha, but that’s not a good idea to spam about it on dev forum

Then the chat will hover it

Hmm, first time hearing that. Nobody actually complained about the size of it

Won’t say every, but it also makes my simulator kinda special

I made <13 because this is the main playbase of simulator type games, but mostly I agree with you

That’s actually quite a good playtime. I would consider adding another mechanic to make players come back.
Another thingy, maybe the simulator is too easy and players finish it in one run?
