My game with a Story, do you like it?

Hello Robloxians!

I’ve been working on this game for a few months now, my other games didn’t go so well, but I’m determined to lead this game to success! Warfront is a futuristic Multiplayer/Singleplayer game, you goal being to Defend the core for as long as you can! I have added a story recently and would like to know whether it seems attractive enough

Here is the game Link:

Just 2 of us have been working on this game, yep… A dev team of 2 people!

From the last post I made about this game, We’ve applied some recommended changes into the game to try and maximize the playtime as possible when players play the game!

Do you like the Story and Gameplay?

  • Yes! I love it! :+1:
  • Could be imporved
  • I wouldn’t play it :-1:

I think Story can be one of the biggest factors in Gameplay, if you know why your playing a game for a reason. That means your committed until the very end

This game may not look the best, have the highest quality game-play or even a single shop yet, but we all suspect this from a starting game. I want the game-play to feel right and satisfying. So my overall questions are, Do you like the new Story? Would you share it with a YouTuber? or do you think it has potential?

(Perhaps some tips on how I could advertise this game? Its playerbase is close to 0…)

Thanks for reading

Are you up for hire? If you ever are, notify me. I would love to hire you for some jobs(maybe even have you in my dev team)… But first I gotta get enough Robux.

I’m not for hire sadly, as I’m desperate for this game to get to the front page. Good luck with earning your Robux :+1:

This game needs a lot more optimisations and polishing, the map layout is hard to manuver through, the turrets or whatever they are don’t seam to work at all. The first the cutscesen on the first map doesn’t seam to work. Also everything looks very, jittery?

I understand, but I’m keenly referencing the story part. Mainly what I’m looking feedback for if possible

Well for the story I’d recommend making it a tad bit more sensical because when I looked at it I was just like
“Ok so teens do teen things but they are children of organisation” “Oh no bad evil man comes” Now it’s time for you to NOT DIE. But then again I have really high standards for storys so yeah.
Also the cutsecens for the story selection thingy looked rather nice except the framing was a tad bit wonky.

Interesting, I’ll consider this later

It is very well done. The story is simple, easy to understand for young users and the skip option is useful if someone got already bored of it!

This game is really good, I like the direction of the game and the UI is really impressive. I would definitely play this with friends. Keep up the great work! :+1:

The camera angles, GUI and scripts are really well made.

Also, I noticed some mispelt words such as “teleport” but they’re only minors.

Maybe if you polish a bit of the game up, it’s ready to be released for it’s full potentional.

I’ll look into these grammatical mishaps, thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

The Game
Keep in mind I only played 2 Stories/Chapters
The game overall, is really amazing. I cannot put into words on how amazing this game is as a whole. I really like the concept and the music is fitting for the game in all! I like how you added a story mode to this to give the player some instruction to what is happening inside the game, and I thought that was really interesting to see. Nice job.

Mistakes, Errors, Other Things!
There were a lot of errors and mistakes in the game, but don’t worry I have you covered. I only played the 1st 2 stories of this game, so I didn’t get to play all the stories…

  1. In the Story cut scene, your name can be seen through some cut-scenes as it takes place. I thought this was a little distracting to look at sometimes. I also saw that you reused some cutscenes, maybe add some more?

  2. On Story/Map 1, there were a lot of mistakes I saw, let me explain them! For starters, I saw the drones/enemies spawn outside the map and clip their way in, which I found to be funny to look at certain times.
I saw a force field (or whatever it is) on top of the walls, and I found it strange on how I actually put it up there. I think it was there, or I was really good at clicking after the wave was over.
Your character, when killed, can sometimes spazz out, and go all over the place when you are moving, and can sometimes get out of boundaries and float into space below.

  3. The jumping (I will mention this when I discuss map 2) was not an option for me on map 1. The enemies, when also killed, if they’re big, they can get stuck in the map itself and move around a lot until it disappears, you should maybe want them to explode, or something along that.
  4. There were a lot of spelling errors, and I managed to screenshot them for you, some of them can be extremely noticeable at times. Some of them also were punctuation mistakes as well.

  5. On map 2, I noticed on how you can jump. I don’t know if you meant to implement this, but you can get onto certain areas where you shouldn’t be. (I couldn’t jump in the 1st map btw) For example, the lava, the dead enemies below are solid, but this wouldn’t really give you an advantage, since the robots/enemies are in range to where they can kill you.

  6. When trying to enter a level, I noticed on how you added a base before you start. I like it a lot, but I would add some instruction on how to start a map, since at times, I could not click the box for some reason. I was really confused on how to start a level, I would maybe update that a bit.
