I sponsor my games rather than run banners because some users use Ad-blockers. I invest around 1k into tablet and phone sponsors then half of that for desktop (depends on the game’s audience).
Actually, adblockers don’t have an effect on these ads. Usually, ads are displayed by the user’s client sending a Get HTTPS request to this endpoint which then returns the advertisement and displays it on the client’s page. However, IIRC, adblockers block this https request entirely, not triggering the Roblox API and not adding a view to the ad.
bit late to the discussion but will post to help other people, but remember,
Just because your ad has low CTR doesn’t mean it is doing poorly. (Obviously very situation-specific)
For example, if you used a clickbait ad it might get 2% but that doesn’t mean you will get more players. People will click on it, realize it is something they aren’t interested in, and click off the game page.
Compared to an ad that is very specific for a certain audience. Even if it is at 0.5% CTR for example, people who click it know what they’re expecting and a higher percentage will actually visit the game.
Although your ad is not really good in itself, you have a bright color scheme for a supposedly 1700s era realistic game.
the investor of my game spend 30k on ads so far but it only has 500 visits…
