My GFX Has Random Black Shaded Spots On It

Hello everyone. So recently i’ve been making a lot of GFX, and on some of them there’s these random black shaded dots of some sort. I circled the dots in the picture below. If you know how to fix it please let me know. Also, I use denoising because I use cycles render; thought that might help.

If you zoom up on the picture you can see them. You can also see them without zooming.

Here’s the image without the circles, the circles kinda make it harder to see.

I used to have this problem with blender, Blenders denoisers aren’t the best so most of the time to combat noise, they just smudge the image. Thats why it looks dark in some areas and very bright in others. I’m not sure what denoiser you are using… But if you are still using the built in blender denoiser i think you should change.

Blender 2.9 made it easier to use denoisers which is why if you arent already using 2.9, you should switch to 2.9

Yea as @D3v_Peanut mentioned this is caused by using denoising with a low sample count. I’d recommend using a higher sample count then using your denoiser of choice as it seems your current amount is pretty low. Maybe shoot for like 900-1200.

I don’t render often but I usually set it to 1024 or 2048 and rely on Optix denoising to clean up any noise afterward

Also nice render btw. But your HDRI seems to be upside down lol

That is exactly what happened to me right here.

A weird black shaded spot in the top left part of the target. It might have been the rendering, as I used Cycles to render this image.

I don’t know what causes it, but before I had no problem doing it.
