My GUI uses local-script but it's server-sided somehow?

I am really confused about my GUI being local-script and affecting the server. Please help me about this.

maybe theres some event that is running server sided, even tho its a local script, i am pretty sure it can happen (i might be wrong)

I was running a dialogue scene and camera change on a server script that activated when a player touched a part. I changed it to a local script within the StarterGui and it still runs for every player on the server.
