This is my second attempt at a showcase and Its considerably better than my first attempt. The last time I asked for feedback it helped me a whole lot and I took all the advice into consideration. So tell me what you think of my new one
This looks great however I suggest improving the trees a bit. They blend into eachother and give the impression of clouds. Also, you might want to change the trunk colour to something a bit darker as its hard to differentiate the trunk and the leaves. All in all, this showcase is a great start.
This looks amazing! I would work more on the trees. Just like what @AllThingsMilk said, the trees blend into each other so they look like clouds. You should also make the trunk of the tree darker. I would also give the yellow floor in the room (2nd picture) some sort of texture such as a Japanese bamboo floor mat. Else, this looks stunning. Keep up with it!
For the inside, I like that everything looks so detailed. I also think your selection of decorations was cool - a puzzle cube, roses, banners - you modeled all of them excellently. Good job! The scenery and nature look really lively, and I admire that the place is nice and lit up - itās the kind of place that would cheer someone up or make someone realize something important. I agree with @AllThingsMilk on making the truck of the trees just slightly darker so you can differentiate it from the leaves. Otherwise, great use of textures for the outside.
The outside looks pretty nice but the (fog?) and the trees are a bit much. The inside however looks pretty great, could do with more space and stuff inside. I donāt mean anything bad by this but the positioning and house itself reminds me of the house from tellytubbiesā¦ Good job though
Love the atmosphere and the showcase itself thereās definitely a good amount of detail, however the stone material I donāt think it really fits with the build as it looks a little out of place the fireflies and sounds have a nice touch and the use of particles are on point.
Overall, I would recommend adding variation into your trees, consider having 2-3 variations of trees just so it doesnāt look repetitive. At the spawn area there could be things like rocks, flowers, or stones bushes ect. This will set a nice better look, depending on how you want the area to look like, I feel like you could just add some small objects, however just donāt overdo it because then itāll ruin the scene and look all cluttered.
At the start I enjoy your showcase it looks very interesting.
Amazing! I love the lighting and the interior work. One thing that stands out to me, is the grass. Kinda just looks out of place with the rest of you building style. It may just be me. Who knows. Love it though, definitely a pretty build.
The Game
This overall, is amazing. Everything in this build was fantastic. The models made were neatly made, and I can see you worked really hard on this showcase. The music was also really soothing to hear while I was playing this showcase.
The invisible walls are placed well, I could not get out of the map, but I possibly mightāve seen a baseplate when I scrolled out a bit, I suggest your remove it.
My Thoughts On What to Add
I think you should do something with the water area, I believe there is a lot of space for you to put a lot of things, maybe add these?
Sunken Buildings/Props
Caves
Deep Sea Plants
Things I noticed
I only saw one build mistake, and it was with the trees, they are not on the ground and appear to be floating. Screenshot below. There are about 3 of these, but correct me if Iām wrong!
The showcase is fantastic, very astonishing. I like the Japanese theme including samurais and the writing. However, you could texture the place, add some particle emitter for waterfall, get more realistic meshes for plants and trees. The colour scheme looks fine, but it looks boring without any textures.
