My Roblox Player is... corrupted? (and Roblox Studio also)

Hello, since today, I have this weird problem

When I lauch Roblox Player, this happens:

(cursor is invisible)

When I join any game from the site, this happens:

(every player is gray, still no cursor, and the font is default)

Reinstalling roblox doesn’t work.

(Note: Roblox Studio doesn’t work either, trying to open any game will result in this:)

Do you get any errors in F9 console? They are most likely HTTP errors.

I have a similar problem too. Fonts are not loading, roblox icons are not showing and cannot find sound from files.

I don’t know if it’s the right but, If Roblox is in appdata and your Windows username contains a letter other than English characters, it may throw an error because of that. I moved the roblox file to d and opened it by creating a shortcut to the roblox player. The only problem is that you cannot play from the site. (My english is bad sorry i used translate) and I don’t know what will happen when robloxs update

Same problem, I opened a bug report because it worsened on my side

I somewhat found a solution. Press & hold the LEFTSHIFT key WHILE clicking on the restart option on windows.

You’ll restart the computer. Keep the left shift pressed until you enter a blue windows.

From there, go to “Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > (Startup) Settings > Restart”. The PC will restart and boot into another blue window. Select 5 : “Restart in safe mode with wifi support”. From there, the PC will restart in safe mode, meaning lots of sideproducts & softwares won’t boot. Try to launch ROBLOX from there to see if it works. Personally, as I had the client uninstalled, I had to reinstall it IN SAFE MODE ! Maybe that’s why it worked.

Also, running sfc /scannow in an elevated terminal will prompt windows to check for the integrity of protected system files. You can also consider doing this in normal mode.

I just tested this, and I can confirm that this is probably the cause.

I created a new user profile on Windows with this abomination of a name: “test ж testж$$#$^&”. Roblox was able to install but would not open. Running the player as administrator resulted in Roblox opening with the exact same look as OP’s screenshot—dark translucent block on same part of screen, games and icons not showing, and mouse cursor missing. After joining a game my screen was very similar to OP’s second screenshot where every avatar’s skin tones were not loading.

A temporary solution appears to be uninstalling Roblox and running RobloxPlayerInstaller.exe as administrator. This causes Roblox to install under Program Files (x86) instead of the user’s localappdata.
