My Second Building

Hi, I have been practising quite a lot in Studio to make a Decent Building and I am wondering what do you think of it?

Ps I only did the front

One thing that make the building look a bit off is the lighting. However the build it self is really good, amazing work. Get the lighting fixed and it will look 200% better!

Greetings, your buildings looks very good and really interesting to view.
Though might I suggest you add some emergency ladders since your buildings looks somilar to the apartments in New York, also might I suggest you add some window-type airconditioning system sticking out of some of the windows to make your apartment look realistic because leaving it without designs would seriously make it look dull.
The following image shows the fire ladder and airconditing system sticking out of the windows of the apartment as an example of the design I wanted you to add

Overall, I find your build really classical and really recommendable to be placed in a city-type of game.

Yeah. Overall the build quality from a distance looks really good. The picture looks quite nice. In game however, it’s not difficult to notice a LOT of errors in the way you took on the build. Duplication errors, gaps, things not lining up (the poles in the front for example).

If this is your second build, I do commend you. However, I recommend starting with good technique and precision that way as you progress to more complex builds and find your building niche it reamins consistent throughout.

If I saw this in a game, and was walking near the buildings, I would be underwhelmed simply because it looks a bit sloppy and colors are very muted (everything blends into each other). But it gets the job done and looks nice from afar. It looks more like something I would see in a Midwestern ghost town rather than a city, however that is simply my opinion.

Tip: Use a transparent wedge over the steps to make walking up them smoother. Make the actual parts beneath that wedge CanCollide false so physics doesn’t have to run through them.

This is definitely a good start. I like the use of materials and vibrant colors mixed with a lot of light brown. It gives the build a very unique style to it. I also like the door design connected with the building maybe try creating a different type of door so it doesn’t look repetitive or similar. It can definitely use different types of designs for the building since you are going off of a reference image see how the windows have a sort of design around it try doing something like that to yours so it doesn’t look the same as the other apartment if you know what I mean.

That being said, there are a few things that can be improved. The building I feel like it could have a brighter color to it I would not recommend coloring the whole stairs the same it looks very unrealistic, maybe try adding a dark metal material or color on the rails so it could look more appealing. I would also try making the stair piece’s length more larger instead of having them small however if it looks good to you i’ll keep it.

I love the way you’ve created the buildings and the design on it. And the colors on the building is also good. Overall if you plan on making other apartments maybe add a small potted plant or a carpet.

Very niceee. It’s better than my own builds on some days. You should do the sides/back and add fire exits etc.
