My simple loading screen

Recently I have been interested in backroom games for days so I decided to make one in roblox unique and dynamic, for now I have my data loading screen and other things that for now we will focus on my loading screen!

I tried to make it as a kind of terminal since a recent project I just finished involved using a terminal so I decided to do that design on the loading screen.

The design and colors, I have a game called Synthoria in which the focus is on cyberpunk, retrowave, synthwave, etc. From there I got inspired (in my own game).

Any opinions? What can I improve?

(sorry for the bad quality)

pretty cool but if you want to imitate a terminal/interface then I personally would

  • mimic a BIOS screen and replace it with “Please wait…”
  • remove the scrollbar, doesn’t suit the console in my opinion
  • make the asset text size the same as the directory text size
  • speed up the asset iteration (and preferably include more assets)
    • make the pace more random/controlled as some files may take a bit longer to load
  • add folder structure for the assets (e.g. “mods/my_mod.jar”)
    • perhaps include more details like read/write/execute permissions or size or ports and all that stuff yk, linux stuff
  • (optional) tween the appearance so they pop up gradually, at once or fade in
    • (hard to explain but you should look at some examples online ig)
  • replace the fade-out towards the backrooms screen with a better transition since both are graphical user interfaces so you can be creative here
