Weird title but I literally have no idea how else to describe this or anywhere else to put it since the bug report sections are closed. what is happening yall, first it was roblox quitting bc my render quality was too high for my little 2019 macbook pro to handle, and now it doing this???
This might be an issue with your computer’s GPU (Graphical Processing Unit). If you don’t know what a GPU is, just understand that it is responsible for displaying complex objects on the screen; such as the 3D parts in the studio.
1. Change How Roblox Studio Uses Your GPU:
Roblox Studio accepts multiple graphical APIs (aka graphics modes), so try setting your Graphics Mode to something else. Graphical APIs are basically systems that change how your GPU displays 2D and 3D objects.
Note: Avoid Vulkan; Vulkan is meant for beefy systems such as AMD & NIVIDIA
To change your Graphics Mode, just go to FILE in the top left and click Studio Settings…. Then go to the Rendering tab and test out the Graphics Modes. You should try No Graphics first to make sure it is a GPU issue.
2. Update GPU:
When drivers get out-of-date they become deprecated and left behind. So you should look into getting your GPU driver up to date.
Make sure you’re on the latest version of Mac OS. I’ve never used a Macbook, but I think it’s an all-in-one system. So updating the OS should give you the latest version of Apple’s GPU drivers.
3. Check Lighting Settings:
Make sure you don’t have any unwanted settings enabled in Lighting
4. Wait it Out:
If this is a brand-new issue that just popped up then it is most likely Roblox’s fault. Roblox Studio can glitch out sometimes, but the problem is usually fixed in about a week. New Studio features and GPU driver updates inevitably lead to Roblox having to debug Roblox Studio.
Don’t quit! If the fixes mentioned above don’t resolve your issue feel free to reply.
