The blade could be longer, and the handle and guard should be less blocky. But otherwise its looking good so far.

Not saying you should copy this whole thing but just take inspiration from it. This is what I mean by making the blade longer and the guard and handle less blocky.

I personally think it looks really cute, Though, I agree, either make the blade longer, I could see it work as like, a chibi style wooden sword if you were to texture it though
Hey by the way I changed the sword
It’s quite blocky and the swords tip isn’t very shard.
The hilt is too thin, and the blade looks rounded. You might wanna make the blade more sharp and make the hilt a little thicker (extra points if you add more details to it). Same goes for the handle. Add more details and reduce the width of it just a little bit.
