Title should be self explanatory. If I was still fromlegouniverse3 (I had 2 previous accounts before I got Builders Club), I wouldn’t want to pay a full 1,000 Robux just to change to FromLegoUniverse3. Something like 500 Robux would be more acceptable IMO.

500 is arbitrary and too high – case changes should be free. The hefty pricetag (depending on your income) of 1000 ROBUX is that high because you’re taking a username, reserving it so nobody else can use it. You’re not taking a new name out of circulation by changing case, so there’s no reason for it to cost a dime.

I’m inclined to disagree ): I already have enough trouble rediscovering who people are because they’re rich and can afford a name change every 2 weeks – if name changes to existing ones were free, you only have to buy a name once and then can freely switch between them at will, opening the problem to more than just the wealthy. Having to pay to switch back discourages people from switching every minute, so I’m not sure taking that away would end well. Maybe free if you’re reverting to the original? But then that’s almost encouraging namesniping because “Hey pay 1000 ROBUX to snipe a name and then revert back to your original one for free.”
Maybe a limit or a cooldown period could be put on it, then. But you’re right, I hadn’t considered that.

My point is it should not be 1,000 Robux. An issue that may come up if it is free or insanely cheap is someone will do it hundreds of times and break web pages.
Interestingly, the name displayed on the forums is in the case you logged into ROBLOX with. Obviously this isn’t site wide and might not even happen anymore but an interesting bit of trivia.

Any name that you have already owned should be available in a drop-down list for you to select from but with a cooldown period of maybe a week or two. In addition, you should be able to change case 2-3 times ever on your account(not once in case you miss a letter or two) for free as it’s already a name that you own.
A good example why the drop-down list would be a good idea is Pyrolysis, he’s changed his name about 80 times now, over a third of which were him going back to “Pyrolysis” and this is causing him to spend a lot of money even though there’s no point to it and this is the main reason why I haven’t been paid by him at all in 8 months.

Yeah, that’s good. It prevents him from spam-changing his name. If it were free, he could switch between them at the drop of a hat which would be very annoying. Having to pay to change back is a discouragement to change your name for fun. I posted about this in my reply to Lilly if you want to see a more in-depth explanation.
Sounds like a personal problem. ROBLOX features aren’t solutions to peoples’ inability to own up to their promises. If name changes were free, he could just as easily spend the money on something else. If he’s not paying you, stop working for him until he does pay you (it sounds like you’re still working with him in your post). Don’t work with people who don’t live up to their own word – that’s your own fault.
I haven’t been working with him since Tiny Titans and yes it is a personal problem but he’s spent like 40k on name changes since Tiny Titans

I was only giving an example. I did not intend to switch the subject. Let’s get back on topic and not worry about personal matters.
I would love to see case changing be free because if I accidentally made my name “fearmeiamlag” that wouldn’t look nearly as nice as “FearMeIAmLag” and I wouldn’t want to pay just for my name to look better.
