I am currently working on a personal project, I am making a wand that will shoot fireballs and upon impact the fireballs will explode and form a crater.
Here is a video:
I notice some of the craters are long, this is fine because it is kind of realistic for projectiles to make longer craters when traveling near parallel to a surface, however I am unsure of how to make the explosion look realistic. Should I stretch the explosion, make a part for the explosion, make VFX on blender, ect…?
You should make the fireball go way faster, and make the crater form a round circle on whatever it hits. Also, make it leave a black burn spot on the area for a few seconds. Overall, this looks good though!
