Im making a fighting game and have made a custom chat box/module and have made some key words change from like “ez” to “gg” or just cancel the message all together, i dont know if this is generally allowed on roblox as it counts as a filter but its also altering a players chat… Would like to know if im in the wrong or not

Not sure if this is allowed which I believe you can. But what a good idea to decrease toxicity in your game. Generally I haven’t seen someone actually do this so it’s quite interesting. But I would go for it.

I think making their filter worse and allowing more words is not allowed. I think making it more filtered is allowed.

To replace the word, you should use a custom chat and a custom filter for the chat. You can make it look like the normal chat, or it can look completely different. You would do this by using the Chatted function, using the normal roblox filter, then adding your own word filter on top of it. The video @SilentSuprion provided is a good example of this.
