I think there should be only 1 clock and date.
Also, widgets are a little hard to see. Please try to add another pattern and color for background.
If you set a link on “…click here”, you better add some caution such as underline near the sentence.

For this issue ill make an new settings to toggle the taskbar Clock/Date

Hmm i dont think its that hard to see?

If you set a link on “…click here”, you better add some caution such as underline near the sentence.

For this issue ill make an Widget link Italic because i think RichText Doesnt support Underline

your start button is rounded, so make all unified add rounded edges to the widgets, if you dont like the win11 look, remove all rounded edges, add more padding between the taskbar icons:

Also combine the date and time widgets into one

It seems like you’re going for a retro-style interface.

There seems to be contradicting features between modern and antique icons.

Browser, Paint, Notepad, Media Player, ProgressBar, and FileBrowser all look a little too modern for that style; they should all have colorful and detailed icons that aren’t necessarily similar to each other- that’s how it was back in the day.

Something’s off about this but I can’t pinpoint what exactly. I think it might be the font that you’re using. The characters shouldn’t look totally pixelated, so don’t go for that popular pixel-font that everyone uses. Instead, you should consider turning the Titles and static stuff that wouldn’t change (Zeekers, Open Clock App, etc..) into low quality ImageLabels & ImageButtons. Use a less modern emoji for the Weather as well.

Mess around with colors and look at references on the internet for inspiration. I like it overall though.

I think richtext doesn’t support underlines

you can underline!
use the u tag in the text

local TextLabel = script.Parent

TextLabel.RichText = true

TextLabel.Text = "Text Can be <b>Bold</b>, <i>Italics</i>, <u>Underlined</u>, and <font color="rgb(10, 100, 255)">many more!</font>"

The font is “Source Sans Pro”

Nice question fella I think its kinda mixed with the core being Pinux or Linux With themes like the one i use in the screenshots and honestly its just my own Style off OS On roblox

I’m sorry to say that, but the UI could be made a lot better…

Regarding widgets

Don’t use stretch ScaleType for textures. Use crop.

Here’s the difference between stretch and crop:

Notice how the crop ScaleType doesn’t “change the angle” of your texture

The widgets look like open windows. For reference here is Windows 7 which I think you kind of wanted to inspire from:

The white topbar(?) kind of matches with the theme, until I look at this window:

Other

This might be Roblox’s fault, but the wallpaper has the same quality as this:

The text is inconsistent and unreadable on small screens:

Icons for the “maxx” pack don’t look like they’re related:

For info here’s Microsoft Office:

Or even VSDC:

These icons need more spacing:

Here is how I’d imagine it:

SnĂmka obrazovky 2025-12-22 130858

Also I’d bring back time on taskbar as an optional feature that you can turn off in settings.

For me, 5.5/10

Others

The wallpaper looks like that due to roblox
Now the text inconsistency is now fixed

The icons for the “maxx” pack is kinda fixed?

  • The text is readable and consistent.
  • The windows look great, but I’d continue the aero craze with the close button.
  • “Maxx” icons do look basic, but you did a great job!
  • The icons in the settings do need work:
    • First of all, put only one color
    • Change from Stretch to Fit.

Anyways, you made an excellent job since I last commented so hats down to that!

the titlebar is blue due to being in studio so the theme engine and stuff didnt run yet

are you preferring to make some kind of old styled OS

Hmm honestly yes im prefering to make old styled OS in some sort off way

Is that Luna? If so, the topbar has some sort of gradient between darker blue and lighter blue. Also search for Windows XP close button, Roblox create marketplace has lots of it.
