So basically, there are alot of games on roblox, some original, some overused, and some WAY too overused. There’s games that fall into these categories.
Original - Vampire Hunters 3 [BETA] - Roblox
Overused - Murder Mystery 2 - Roblox
WAY too overused - (1) Classic Super Hero Tycoon - Roblox
I wanna have a game that falls into the original category, new, unique and not seen before, or atleast rarely. Does anyone have any ideas? That’d help alot. Thanks!

All games fall into categories: tycoons, simulators, story, roleplaying, etc. There are a lot of different types. First, you have to chose whether you want to make a whole new game in a whole new category or make a game that falls under one of those categories. What I do everyday is I look under all the categories on the DevForum and try to find ideas for game. If your making an original game, try to explore the Roblox games page and find an idea for a game that has not been created yet. For an example of a game that falls under a category are games like markswrId’s Bondi Rescue Roleplay, which is a group/game where you can play the role as a lifeguard. This would go under the roleplaying category. A example of a new game in a new category was SamsonXVI’s Camping which created the story category. After, that game inspired many developers to create games of their own, which inspired other developers and so on. I hoped this helped.
You should find a genre you like and think of some game mechanics that you think would be cool and try to add them without making it too confusing?
If you want to make a game that’s original you’ll need a original idea. However these ideas are very rare nowadays. Maybe script something nobody in roblox has ever scripted before to make your game extra unique. A original game can be something where the player plays in a new environment with mechanics to the game that they haven’t used before.
