I’m making a team based shooter games and currently working on the GUIs. The buttons are made up of two images which are the color frames and the border frames.
Because I’m new to creating UIs, I had to use the Roundify plugin to create the buttons. This works for now but is not very efficient. How can I make a single round button that allows me to change the color but keep the black border?
Well, right now you need to make two round frames like you did. One for border, the other for color. What you can do is just change the image color of the inner one, or you can make a round button with a pure black border and a white inside in photoshop and then import it. That way, if you change color, the border will not change, because it is black.
You would make a roundified UI with the black border in a drawing software, preferably as a square canvas. Then, remember the canvas size. Import it to studio and set the image scale type to slice scale and set the slice center to half the canvas size. So let’s say the canvas size of the image was 100 x 100, your slice center would be:
